SUMMARY: Research, develop and train adult learners using innovative technology to compliment curriculum and instruction to be modeled in the K-12 classroom.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Train employees in available online resources for classroom management, instructional practices and technology integration
  • Develop, implement and evaluate new and existing teacher support programs
  • Facilitate development of curriculum, assessments, resource recommendations and trainings
  • Facilitate groups to produce curriculum, assessments and training
  • Develop and deliver professional development through in-person, online and blended formats
  • Apply and infuse 4C's in curriculum, assessments, teaching and training
  • Assist in recommendations with school site Continuous Improvement Plans
  • Collaborate with critical and creative ideas with other adult learners
  • Research and present instruction and/or curriculum innovations and best practice to adult learners
  • Assist in creating strategies to address needs of students
  • Support innovative approaches to learning
  • Research progressive technology resources and tools to use in the classroom
  • Mentor and coach certified staff. 
  • Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, community members and vendors.
  • Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
  • Other job related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Education/Certification:

  • Valid Arizona teaching certificate
  • Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Fingerprint clearance card (FPCC).

Experience:

  • Two (2) years experience in teaching or training 

Knowledge:

  • 4C's instruction method
  • Instructional technology practices including use of hardware and software
  • Differentiation of instructional needs of various levels of students
  • Adult and K12 student instructional practices

Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Collaborative leadership skills

 

Abilities:

  • Read and interpret general documents such as employee handbooks and safety/training manuals.
  • Write general correspondence and speak effectively with others.
  • Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Interpret assortment of instructions furnished in variable forms.
  • Apply reason to research and solve moderately complex issues with little or no assistance.
